Clingan Campaign Posts Strong Fundraising Totals
CHANTILLY – Today, the Clingan for Delegate campaign announced that it had raised nearly $20,000 to unseat one-term Republican incumbent Jim LeMunyon.
Over seventy -five donors have now contributed various sums to Clingan’s campaign, from $5 to over $1,000 in only a two week period. Clingan’s fundraising represents approximately $2,000 raised per day. Clingan looks to be building momentum and reports hearing genuine dissatisfaction with LeMunyon’s close ties to Richmond lobbyists and their downstate agenda.
“I am honored and encouraged by the early support I’ve received, and by the positive reception I’ve found as I go door-to-door in our community. Clearly, voters in Northern Virginia are searching for stronger representation that remains focused on their needs. I look forward to a spirited debate on the issues that affect Northern Virginians every day.” Clingan said.
“Jim LeMunyon is one of the most vulnerable incumbents in Northern Virginia. The 67th District is one of our most important races and the House Democratic Caucus looks forward to Eric Clingan joining us in Richmond next January,” said House Democratic Caucus Chairman Ken Plum.
Eric Clingan is an attorney and ten-year resident of Fairfax County who has lived in Chantilly since 2005. He is a small business owner as the founding partner of Clingan Tull PLLC, and previously served as a Public Defender in Fairfax County. Clingan is also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and proudly served overseas.
